Carlos Stern Neto is a plant biotechnology specialist with more than 20 years of experience in plant tissue culture, micropropagation, plant physiology, R&D and biofactory management. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Biotechnology from Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (UNIVALI), where his academic work focused on plant tissue culture, plant physiology and the establishment of in-vitro cultures. He began his career at EPAGRI, later working as a researcher at SBW do Brasil Agrifloricultura and spending seven years as Biofactory Manager – R&D at Ven Flor. Since 2018 he has worked as a Plant Tissue Culture Specialist at Stern, focusing on the development, optimisation and application of micropropagation techniques for commercial plant production. His expertise spans in-vitro establishment and propagation protocols, biofactory management, production planning and the scaling of laboratory protocols toward commercial production.
